BRIDGE BUILDING IN SRI LANKA

With a donation from the UK, 115 orphans were fed a special lunch on December 12, 2009, at their home, Gokulam, in Wattala, near Colombo. Attended by Bridge Builders Project Director Gowri Thamotharampillai and chairman David Taylor, it was a joyous event at which the children sang, worshipped and enjoyed a hearty lunch.

For Gowri it was a very special day because Wattala was her birthplace and the event, which was organised jointly with the Lions Club of Colombo, was her first outing after being discharged earlier in the week from hospital in Colombo where she had been treated following a mild stroke.

Bridge Builders plan a further event in Sri Lanka in August 2010, also in association with the Lions Club of Colombo.
