CATHOLICS MEET THE MET

The third of a series of meetings, where the young people of Newham MEET THE MET, was held at a Catholic church.  It was a lively session attended by youngsters from both within and beyond the borough.

But unlike earlier meetings, the session was restricted to a specially invited audience and pre-publicity minimised.  The organisers were anxious to avoid unwelcome attention as the result of recent street violence in the locality – a position understood by the police and Bridge Builders.

Further MEET THE MET sessions are planned for late 2009.
